On a sad note, my Dad, Charlie Thompson passed away in early April. He is now reunited with my mother Mary, who preceded him last January. They first met in the late 1930's and enjoyed a good, long life together - they will be missed immeasurably. We plan to lay him to rest with Mom in the Gillespie family plot at the Island's old Protestant Cemetary sometime in early May. To those of you who knew him and Mom and came to visit with them over the years, please know how much it meant to them to see each of you!
Beginning this 2010 season:
The Lilac House will offer complimentary wireless internet service for our guests.
We will be running "off-peak" room specials throughout the season with rooms starting at $75 per night double occupancy.
The week of August 22 we will be having a "Back to School" special. All rooms 20-40% off our standard rates.
For our many repeat guests, we are initiating a new "frequent guest" program which can include free room nights and/or dinner certificates at some of the Island's popular restaurants.
Please contact us regarding the dates of our new "off-peak" specials and/or ask about any of our new initiatives when you visit with us this year.
We would especially like to thank all our friends and repeat guests for their continued support and hope all of you like the many renovations and other changes we have made to the Lilac House over these past few years! We look forward to seeing all of you again this year!
